These interviews are marvelous. I love "cut to the chase" and that last photo makes me want to smell and taste it!
I am really enjoying this format! I appreciated Alice Neal listed as an inspiration. She was such an original as was her work.
Hylla is delightful to work with and her Evans materials are superb quality. Bravo to her! I am a loyal customer! Jan
Thanks Deb, Terry and Jan for your comments. Hylla is great and her paints are really fabulous. Her colors are unbeatable as is her understanding of pigments, color mixing and so much more!
I LOVE Hylla and her paints! <3
I'm really enjoying these interviews Nancy!
This was a good opportunity to simplify answers. It ties in nicely with Joanne's Marketing Mondays post on interviews and here it's okay to be camera shy.
Eloise, the chicken with the heart shaped face is available for anyone else to use as a prop.
Really, thank you, Nancy, for giving me the opportunity to answer questions one on one on one on one, as only the safety of an email interview can do.
The flawless Herman Doomer portrait by Rembrandt is on display always at the Metropolitan in NYC.
There was an Alice Neel late full-body nude self-portrait on display at the Yale Gallery maybe 10 years ago. Large and incredibly powerful, her honesty was humbling. It's not in any books or online. There is much to learn from Paul McCartney's freedom and confidence to make bold work and not second guess himself. Don't we all need that reminder sometimes?
love this...
